Over 840 People from Hoa Binh Recruited for Overseas Labor

Since the beginning of the year, more than 840 individuals in Hoa Binh province have been selected for overseas employment with fixed-term contracts.

As of November 16, 2024, the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs of Hoa Binh province reported that a total of 18,318 people in the province secured employment (114.4% of the annual target). Among them, 841 workers were chosen for overseas labor, surpassing the target by 41% (141% of the plan for the year).

Mr. Bui Manh Cuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, said that since the start of the year, the department has cooperated with local authorities in various districts and cities to implement measures to enhance employment for workers. The department has also supported businesses both inside and outside the province in recruiting labor. A focus has been placed on developing the labor market, improving the labor market information system, and connecting labor supply with demand.

Additionally, the department has invested in infrastructure and equipment to boost employment services through direct and online counseling, as well as by enhancing job fairs to connect businesses with workers.

Mr. Cuong added that the province has improved communication and information sharing between the Hoa Binh Employment Service Center and employment service centers in other provinces and cities, facilitating recruitment by companies and helping local workers find job opportunities.

Furthermore, local authorities have allocated resources to support and accelerate the process of sending workers abroad under contract.

Looking ahead, the department plans to continue strengthening its efforts to address local employment issues, focusing on transitioning workers from agriculture to non-agricultural sectors and creating more local employment opportunities through economic development programs and projects.

The province will also continue introducing employers with labor needs to local districts and cities for recruitment, helping workers secure jobs both within enterprises and abroad through contractual agreements.

Vietnam Manpower plays a crucial role in supporting the local workforce in Hoa Binh, not only by addressing domestic employment needs but also by providing opportunities for workers to gain international experience, thereby contributing to the province’s economic development.
