Binh Thuan Sends 878 Workers Abroad for Employment
Labor export, in addition to providing employment opportunities and increasing income for workers, also helps enhance skills and opens up new development prospects. Recently, the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs of Binh Thuan Province has collaborated with companies to promote labor export activities.

As of now, 878 workers from Binh Thuan have gone abroad under labor contracts, mainly to markets such as Japan, South Korea, Taiwan (China), Hungary, China, and the United States.
To help workers trust and choose labor export opportunities, the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs of Binh Thuan has partnered with reputable companies to offer consultations and conduct recruitment through local job fairs. Workers are advised about markets with good working conditions, safety, high wages, and opportunities to enhance their skills. Additionally, they are informed about government policies supporting labor export, which aims to reduce poverty and increase income, especially for workers in rural areas, difficult regions, and ethnic minority communities.
Once workers agree to go abroad and meet the required conditions, they receive assistance to complete the necessary paperwork and travel abroad under contract.
The majority of workers from Binh Thuan who go abroad are unskilled, with common jobs in agriculture, industry, food processing, construction, machinery operation, caregiving, domestic work, and as crew members on ships.
However, these workers have opportunities to improve their skills, learn modern technology, adopt professional work styles, and develop strong discipline through international work environments. Labor export has also helped reduce pressure on vocational training in the province, create jobs, boost foreign currency earnings, and assist many families in escaping poverty, thereby improving their quality of life.
Most local workers who go abroad follow the laws of the host countries, show unity, responsibility, and a strong national spirit, while actively promoting the culture and image of Binh Thuan and Vietnam to the international community.
A specialist from the Binh Thuan Employment Service Center (Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs) responsible for labor export said that each year, more workers are proactively seeking information about foreign labor markets. Workers now carefully research markets with good job quality and high wages before registering. Those who work abroad accumulate capital, work experience, and improve their skills, which helps them find better job opportunities upon their return or even start their own businesses to improve their quality of life.
Despite these positive outcomes, challenges remain in labor export. While workers gain material wealth, work experience, and professional discipline, there is still a lack of effective support for reintegrating and utilizing these workers' skills when they return. More attention is needed to fully capitalize on the potential of this workforce.
Vietnam Manpower continues to play a crucial role in the development of Binh Thuan’s labor export sector, offering workers better opportunities for income and skill development while contributing to the province's socio-economic growth.
